awarded the White Ravens 2016 by the International Youth Library!
Praise from the jury: “The pictures use a palette of black, white, and red tones as well as opal green; their abstractness, dramatic perspective, and movement are captivating. Many scenes are shown only in sections, and some details are zoomed in on. The wolf in particular is portrayed ravishingly: he slips through the woods as a threatening black shadow, ensnares Little Red Riding Hood and greedily gapes open his giant mouth full of sharply pointed teeth.“
